Body Kits And The Search For Excellence

Body kits are products that build on an already well manufactured great product your car.

The search for excellence has driven mankind to greater achievements from time immemorial. Any invention that has brought comfort and efficiency to our lives has consistently been improved upon by generations that followed. It is not human nature to be satisfied with what is available. The approach is it can always be better.

This approach has resulted in consistent improvements in things we use on a daily basis. From a wheel we went to a barrow then to a chariot and finally a car. What was considered a luxury for one generation has become a necessity for the next generation. With each passing generation the products become better and better. Sometimes the change is so immense that we lose the connection in our mind. For example if you will consider what is the equivalent of a buggy whip in your car you will not have a simple answer if you have one at all.

This constant search for excellence and thirst to improve things manifests itself in the car aftermarket products industry. Even as car manufacturing attained greater and greater heights and came closer and closer to perfection car after markets products have kept pace. Even the best car can be made better with car after market products such as body kits.

Body kits improve the aesthetics of the car by altering its shape style and if you so choose the color as well. Body kits also impact the performance of the car by influencing its aerodynamics. Typically they impact the way air flows under over and from the side of your car and give a better aerodynamic performance to your car.

Body kits are available in a wide range and can be easily bought online. You will have a choice of material shapes colors and there are several reputed manufacturers to choose from.

Body kits are more than a rage; they are almost becoming a necessary part of your car. Several car manufacturers offer factory fitted Body kits. This just proves the point that what is considered a luxury today will be a necessity tomorrow.

The 635d Coup and Convertible will hit showrooms in October in the UK with world’s most powerful production diesel under the bonnet. The revamp includes the 6 Series model lineup to include Active Headrests Brake Energy Regeneration and other fuel saving and emissionscutting technology.

A zero to 62mph time of 6.3 seconds is achieved by the BMW 635d Coup while the Convertible achieves this in 6.6 seconds. The new 635d has also been given a fine restyling to mark the technological changes: a revised headlight arrangement featuring LED technology and clear lenses a new style of front valance and repositioned vertical struts on the front spoiler. Its an output of 286hp and 580Nm of torque and is powered by a twinturbocharged 2993cc engine with an all aluminum crankcase and third generation common rail fuel injection system. The unique way the twin turbochargers work makes these performance figures possible. A smaller turbocharger yields near immediate response for swift initial acceleration before a larger turbocharger comes in midrange to provide additional thrust through to the red line. Form just 1750 rpm peak torques available to deliver a seamless wave of smooth acceleration.

The introduction of Efficient Dynamics which is a technology with Brake Energy Regeneration and the implementation of various needsonly operations of ancillary units for the first time in the 6 Series range make the performance possible.

The top of the range 650i models are has a 4799cc V8 engine giving an output of 367hp. The models with their aluminum engine and doubleVANOS and VALVETRONIC variable valve technology can do a zero to 62mph time of 5.1 seconds in the Coup and 5.5 seconds in the Convertible.

Both 650i models are EfficientDynamics technology assisted in achieving improved economy and emissions figures.

The 630i and 650i has standard sixspeed manual gearbox while the 635d is a new sixspeed sports automatic transmission. A new torque converter with enhanced software and a twostage damper to eliminate vibrations are featured in this gearbox.

The new models also have a kidney grille that is larger compared to the outgoing model and lower reflectors that have been optically refined at the rear of a redesigned bumper. A third high level brake light now sits on the boot lid lip for enhanced safety. Another exterior change is the new alloy wheel design in 17 18 and 19inch sizes.

SunReflective Technology leather is also offered among 6 Series Convertible models which also have an infotainment system that includes eight favorite buttons.

As regards safety BMW for the first time Active Headrests appear on the 6 Series. As standard equipment on cars the system is introduced to prevent occupants from whiplash injuries in rear end accidents. Pyrotechnics fire to release two springs in the head rests when the airbags’ central control unit registers a rear end collision.

Best Tips To Wash Your Car

It is very essential to wash your car at regular intervals of time. It helps improve car functioning operation and also adds life to your car. Most of the people take good care of their cars when it is new but then as the car becomes old car maintenance and washing becomes insignificant. Infact the biggest fact is that old cars need more frequent washing than the new cars.

Car wash can be defined as an activity to remove dirt and grime from the car body and give a new look to the car exterior. Taking the term to a wider extent it also includes cleaning and maintaining the car interiors. This activity is very important for all car owners because if dirt gets deposit on the exterior structure of the body it loses cars appeal and may also cause rust.

Here are some of the most satisfying car washing tips:

  1. Park your car in the shade because if it is parked under sunlight it may result in premature drying of the car.
  2. Dont use dish soap for washing your car. Also make sure that the soap is diluted with water before using for car wash.
  3. Wash the car using a sponge starting from the top end of the car. Use the principle of gravity according to which the soap that you apply on the car roof will flow down. So clean the roof first then the sides doors and windows. Clean the underside of the car and the tyres at the end as they are the most dirties portion of the car and requires thorough cleaning.
  4. Clean the bumpers and fenders more thoroughly as bugs accumulate in that section of the car and are toughest to remove.
  5. Keep on rinsing every section of the car using a hose immediately after you are done with washing that section. This will prevent water droplets from drying on the car paint.
  6. After cleaning the car dry it with a clean cloth preferably a microfiber towel. These towels are considered to be best for drying car exteriors.
  7. Use glass cleaners to clean car windows as they add better shine to the windows.
  8. Once the exterior is cleaned vacuum clean the interiors. Remove all the rugs mats and carpets from the car to remove al the dirt.
  9. For cleaning dashboard and other car electronics in the car interior you can use specialized cleansers
  10. Ensure to park your car in a driveway or grassy surface so that water flowing down during the wash does not block any path.
